Laser Studio Quick Guide

Upload & Basic Crop

Start by uploading your image. Use the Crop tool to remove unnecessary edges. This helps the AI focus on your main subject and saves your Background Removal credits.

Background Removal (RB)

If your photo has a messy background, click the Remove Background button. Our AI will instantly isolate your subject, creating a clean silhouette perfect for engraving.

Choose Your Mode

Advanced Tools (Edit, Eraser, Spray)

Take full manual control over your image for flawless results:

• EDIT Mode (Local Area): Select a specific part of the image (like a dark face). The Brightness/Contrast sliders will now affect only that area. Perfect for fixing shadows! Always click CONFIRM CHANGES when done.
• Eraser: Remove unwanted spots or background artifacts. Lower the Strength (%) to gently blend edges.
• Spray: Add shading or fill in missing dark areas. Adjust the Density to control the coverage.

Laser Diagnostic (X-Ray)

Lasers see things our eyes miss! Turn on the X-Ray tool to reveal "invisible" dust or noise in the background. If you see white speckles on the magenta screen, the laser will fire there and ruin your material.

How to fix it: Use the Clean Background slider, Dust Remover, or the Eraser tool until all rogue dots disappear and only the pure Magenta background remains.

The Sliders (The Magic Part)

There is no "perfect setting" for everyone. Adjust the sliders until you are happy with the preview:

• Brightness: Balance light and dark areas.
• Contrast: Make the details pop.
• Sharpen: Crucial for laser work! Increase it for better definition on wood.

Tip: What you see in the preview is exactly what your laser will engrave!

Layouts & Monograms

Mix and match! You can choose to export:

• Just the Image: Standard engraving.
• Image + Text: Add names or dates below your photo.
• Monogram Mode: Create beautiful initials with decorative frames.

Download & Engrave

Hit Download. For PNG files, we recommend using "Pass-Through" mode in LightBurn. Since Laser Studio already processed the image, your laser software doesn't need to do anything else!
